Pranav leads Marketing Communications at Yali, building its brand as India's premier deep tech fund. He brings 14 years across advertising, fintech, and strategic communications, including stints at Ogilvy, MullenLowe Lintas, and Dentsu, a content leadership role at neobank Fi, and communications work at Volvo Group's startup accelerator CampX. He holds a Master's in Mass Communications and an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology, bringing together science and storytelling for the deep tech world.
Growing up around science made me curious about how things work, and that curiosity has never left. I pursued biotechnology at undergraduate level, an emerging field at the time, but somewhere in those years I realised my instincts were pulling me toward the creative side. I ended up studying filmmaking and graduated with an MA that opened the door to a career in advertising.
For over a decade I helped shape the identities of large brands like Titan and ITC Foods, and early-stage tech companies like Ola, where the storytelling challenge was genuinely different. Building belief around something that doesn't yet exist in the public imagination is where I felt most at home.
What draws me to Yali is that the challenge is the same with higher stakes. The founders we back are solving problems we collectively believe will help take India towards true innovation. My job is to find the language for that, whether for the fund or the companies we've invested in.
